Arina Tanemura (種村 有菜 Tanemura Arina, born on March 12, 1978) is the author of Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, and other works such as Full Moon o Sagashite, and The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross. Despite Tanemura's intentions to draw in a style that makes her stories difficult to animate, both Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne and Full Moon o Sagashite have been adapted into anime TV series.

Her works are primarily serialized in Ribon magazine, with series published in collected volumes by Shueisha. For the 15th anniversary since her debut, she was involved in creating a CD featuring songs based on ten of her heroines.[1][2] Tanemura contributed to a dōjinshi along with other manga artists that was sold for charity efforts for the March 2011 Japanese earthquake.[3] As of November 2011, Tanemura has become a free agent manga artist, no longer solely affiliated with Shueisha.[4][5]

Her first works were reprinted into a short story collection titled, Short-Tempered Melancholic. Tanemura began to raise to fame with I.O.N. in 1997. . Time Stranger Kyoko from 2000 to 2001, and Full Moon o Sagashite from 2002 to 2004.

Her series, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne ran from 1998 to 2000 in Ribon magazine. It was also adapted into an anime.
